FAQ

General

Who is this for?

This work is for anyone who feels called to look deep beneath the surface of their lives rather than simply manage symptoms or ‘cope better’.

It may be right for you if you are experiencing a sense of stagnation, disconnection or quiet dissatisfaction, even if things appear functional on the outside. Many people come with questions around identity, purpose, meaning or direction, or with patterns that keep repeating despite insight and effort.

My approach best suits those who are curious, reflective and willing to engage actively in their own process with openness and courage. The work that we will do together isn’t always gentle; transformation often requires facing our deepest shadows, fears and even shame. You must be willing to face yourself with radical honesty and courage for this programme be effective and worth your time, money and effort.

Whether you’re seeking healing, direction or simply finding the truth of who you are beneath the noise, The Forge is for those who want to reshape their life to achieve lasting change.

What issues can you help with?

All 1-to-1 work and workshops are built around real personal and spiritual transformation.

I work with people who have found that traditional therapeutic counselling or surface level gentle healing have simply not resulted in the changes they need to make in their lives. The Forge is the next step, the deeper layer, the final boss. Here we work at depth with the deep blockers that you have been too afraid to face. Your inner shadows, your self-imposed chains and the external judgements and help you find your true self and inner voice buried beneath the noise.

The issues I can help you with are wide ranging and can include:

Personal Identity
Questions around sexual orientation, gender identity, personal identity, negative self- and body-image and self-definition. This includes exploring “Who am I?” beyond roles, expectations from others or labels and learning to love yourself unconditionally and live in greater alignment with your truth.

Purpose and Direction
Feeling stuck, lost, or disconnected from meaning or purpose. This may include dissatisfaction with life despite things appearing ‘fine’, a sense of drifting, low motivation or uncertainty about direction, purpose or next steps.

Emotional and Relational Patterns
Recurring emotional or relational difficulties, including unresolved inner conflict, self-criticism or shame, difficulty setting boundaries, people-pleasing, co-dependency or patterns that repeat despite insight or effort.

Life Transitions and Change
Navigating major life transitions such as career changes, relationship shifts, family dynamics, loss, grief or periods of significant personal upheaval where old ways of being no longer fit.

Do I need to be spiritual or have experience with spiritual or energy work?

No. You don’t need to be “spiritual”, follow any particular belief system or have prior experience with spiritual or healing work. My work is spiritually informed, but does not require shared beliefs to be effective.

That said, this work is holistic and non‑conventional. It draws on approaches that work with the body, emotions, energy, and psyche – not only cognitive talk‑based methods. You don’t need to believe in these approaches in advance, but you do need to be open to engaging with them.

If you are looking strictly for traditional talking therapy or if you are uncomfortable with holistic or embodied ways of working, this is unlikely to be a good fit for you.

Transformation Programme

What makes The Forge Transformation journey different?

The Forge Transformation programme is vision-led rather than trauma-led.

Instead of beginning by identifying and cataloguing problems or attempting to ‘fix’ what is wrong, the work starts by clearly defining what you want to achieve. This vision becomes the organising principle for the entire programme.

Past experiences, emotional patterns beliefs, and relational dynamics are actively explored as part of the work.  However, they are always examined through the lens of the stated vision: how they shape, obstruct, distort, or support your ability to move toward what you want to create, rather than as standalone issues.

This approach keeps the work deep without becoming unfocused. Rather than exploring everything at once, the programme maintains clarity and direction, allowing meaningful change to occur within a defined period of time.

The Forge is participatory and collaborative. You are not a passive recipient of insight, but an active participant in shaping the process, making choices and translating understanding into action.

The programme is multi-modal and adaptable. Sessions are shaped by your needs, preferences and worldview. The work can be as practical, creative or spiritual as is appropriate for you.

What issues can this work help with?

This work is designed to support focused, outcome-led change rather than open-ended exploration. In our first deep-dive session we will work to identify one clear area of change or development that matters to you now that shapes your vision.

The 10 or 12 week programme is specifically designed for deep work. Whilst other therapies and workshops are offer are incredibly powerful and can result in significant shifts in perspective and purpose, many blockers we carry are simply too heavy, too old to uproot in 1 or 2 sessions.

The programme goes to the deepest layers – deep trauma, lifelong habits and changes that require you to take significant personal risks (e.g. coming out of the closet, leaving a long-term dependent relationship). We focus on a very specific goal and we together we work towards you achieving that goal by the end of the programme.

While other themes may arise during the process, the work remains anchored to a clearly defined vision. Everything we explore is brought back to the question: does this serve the outcome you have named?

Is the Transformation Journey offered in person or online?

Both – The Forge Transformation Journey can be offered either in person or online.

In-person sessions take place in my home in Arbroath, Scotland, in a private and contained space where the work can be carried out without interruption. When working in person, I provide the space and the tools needed for the sessions.

Online sessions are offered via video call and are equally valid and effective. When working online, you will need access to a private, safe space where you can speak freely and move around if needed, without being overheard or interrupted.

Regardless of whether the programme is undertaken in person or online, the first session is used to establish the container for the work. This includes clarifying boundaries and expectations, and creating a personalised toolkit together – such as materials, practices, or objects that support how you work – so that the process is intentional and well-held from the start.

The quality of the work does not depend on location, but on the conditions that allow you to engage fully and honestly in the process.

Is this programme suitable for everyone?

No. This programme is intentionally structured and is not suitable for everyone.

This programme is for adults only. I do not currently work with anyone under the age of 18.

This work is not crisis support and is not suitable for people experiencing acute mental health crises or requiring urgent intervention.

While the programme can complement many medical or mental health treatments, it is not a replacement for medical care. If you are currently under medical or psychiatric supervision, you are advised to discuss your participation in the programme with your physician or care provider before beginning.

Is this programme suitable for neurodivergent people?

Yes – and this is intentional.

I am AuDHD myself, and The Forge is designed to offer clarity, structure, and direct communication without unnecessary abstraction or ambiguity. The work is vision-led, clearly framed, and purposeful, which many neurodivergent people find supportive and grounding.

The programme is structured but adaptable. How we work together is shaped around how you think, process, communicate, and engage. Sessions may be practical, reflective, creative, somatic, or symbolic, depending on what best serves your stated vision and the way you work. The programme works particularly well for people who find it difficult to express themselves verbally when put on the spot.

However, this is not a gentle or purely supportive space. The work can be intense, confronting, and demanding and it requires resilience, self-responsibility and a willingness to engage honestly. You will be expected to participate actively, reflect and take ownership of your process.

This programme is best suited to neurodivergent people who value clarity, direction and depth and who are able to clearly state their own needs and engage fully in the work.

Workshops

What workshops do you offer?

My workshops vary but are all deeply spiritual and continue the theme of transformational work that I focus on – letting go of things that no longer serve you, integrating every part of yourself even the parts (anger, grief, insecurity) that you find more difficult to love, and creating space for something new to grow.

Some workshops are ritual based, drawing on a range of practices across different spiritual beliefs.

Others focus on meditation and visualisation, allowing you to tap into the power of your inner mind.

Visit my Workshops page for more details.

Do I need to have a certain belief to join these workshops?

No, all my work is desigened to be spiritually agnostic. I create space for those who want to bring their own spiritual beliefs into the work. Whilst the work has helped sceptics who come with honest curiosity and an open mind, if you are not open to the idea of manifestation, intent and visualisation then these workshops are not for you.

Do I need to have any prior experience (of ritual, meditation etc.)

The workshops clearly state whether they are for complete beginners or more advanced practioners who are already familiar with some of the techniques I use.
If you are unsure, please do not hesitate to contact me and I will be happy to advise.
