Nature of The Forge
The Forge provides guided chthonic practice through spiritual education, shadow work, energy work, personal development and practical guidance.
Services offered through The Forge draw upon personal spiritual practice, lived experience and relevant professional training. They are intended to support personal exploration, reflection and transformation, alongside practical guidance where this forms part of the service provided.
The Forge is not a medical, mental health, legal, financial or emergency service. Services provided through The Forge are not intended to replace advice, diagnosis, treatment or other support from an appropriately qualified professional where such support is required.
Where a client’s needs extend beyond the practitioner’s knowledge, qualifications or scope of practice, this will be communicated to the client and, where appropriate, the client may be signposted to a relevant professional, service or organisation.
Shadow Work and Silent Counselling
Shadow Work and Silent Counselling are complementary wellbeing and coaching practices. They are not psychotherapy, counselling, psychiatric treatment or medical treatment and should not be used as a substitute for these services where professional assessment, diagnosis or treatment is required.
Shadow Work may involve exploring difficult emotions, experiences, beliefs, behaviours and personal patterns. Clients remain free to decide what they wish to explore and may decline or stop any exercise or discussion at any time.
Silent Counselling is an energy-based modality intended to support the release of emotional and energetic blockages without requiring clients to discuss or retell past experiences. No claim is made that Silent Counselling can diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any medical or mental health condition.
Where concerns arise that fall outside the scope of these services, the client may be advised to seek support from an appropriately qualified healthcare or mental health professional.
Practical Guidance and Signposting
Some services offered through The Forge may include practical guidance, research and signposting to help clients identify possible routes forward, relevant resources, organisations or professional services.
This support is intended to help clients understand and navigate their options. It does not constitute legal, medical, financial, housing or other regulated professional advice, and The Forge cannot guarantee that a particular service, organisation or form of support will be available, suitable or able to achieve the client’s intended outcome.
Any information, recommendation or referral provided is offered for the client’s consideration. Clients are under no obligation to follow a recommendation or contact any organisation or professional suggested by The Forge and remain responsible for deciding what action, if any, they wish to take.
The Forge will not contact third-party services or professionals on a client’s behalf and does not act as a representative, advocate or intermediary between the client and those services.
Client records, session notes and other confidential information held by The Forge will not be shared with a third-party service solely because that service has been recommended or suggested to the client. Any disclosure of client information will be handled in accordance with The Forge’s Privacy Policy and applicable legal obligations.
Spiritual Practice
Services offered through The Forge may include discussion, education and practical guidance relating to chthonic entities, spiritual experiences, ritual and other forms of spiritual practice.
Spiritual experiences are individual and cannot be guaranteed or reproduced on demand. The Forge does not guarantee contact or communication with any particular entity, nor does participation in a service guarantee that a particular spiritual experience, relationship or outcome will occur.
Where clients choose to engage directly with spiritual practices or entities, they remain responsible for deciding whether, when and how they participate. The practitioner may provide guidance, education and support but does not control the actions, responses or decisions of any entity encountered through a client’s own practice.
Unexpected Encounters
The Unexpected Encounters service provides one-to-one guidance for clients who believe they may have experienced contact with a chthonic entity or another unexplained spiritual or paranormal encounter.
The service provides a space to explore the client’s experience, consider possible explanations and discuss appropriate next steps. The practitioner does not guarantee that an experience can be identified or explained, or that it is spiritual or paranormal in origin.
The Forge does not provide paranormal investigations, exorcisms, spirit removal or banishment services. The practitioner will not summon, invoke or otherwise facilitate contact with an entity on behalf of a client.
Where an experience raises concerns outside the practitioner’s scope of practice, the client may be advised or signposted towards another appropriate professional, service or organisation.
Client Agency and Responsibility
The Forge is founded upon the principle of personal sovereignty. Services are intended to provide guidance, education, challenge and support while preserving the client’s right to make their own decisions throughout the work.
Clients are not required to accept the practitioner’s interpretation, advice or recommendations and may decline any suggested exercise, practice or course of action. Participation in a service does not transfer responsibility for personal decisions to The Forge or the practitioner.
The practitioner will not make significant life decisions on behalf of a client or instruct a client as to what they must choose. Where the work involves exploring significant change, the practitioner’s role is to help the client understand their options, examine potential consequences and determine their own way forward.
Clients remain responsible for the decisions they make and actions they take as a result of their participation in services offered through The Forge.
Results and Outcomes
The Forge does not guarantee any specific personal, practical or spiritual outcome from participation in its services.
The effectiveness and outcome of the work will vary according to individual circumstances, participation, choices and factors outside the control of either the client or practitioner. While services may support clients in creating change, no particular result, timescale or outcome can be promised.
The Forge cannot guarantee the actions, decisions or responses of third parties, organisations, professionals, spiritual entities or other individuals whose involvement may affect a client’s circumstances or intended outcome.
Any examples, testimonials or descriptions of previous experiences are illustrative only and should not be understood as a promise that another client will experience the same results.
Existing Medical and Mental Health Conditions
Clients are responsible for considering whether participation in services offered through The Forge is appropriate in light of any existing physical or mental health conditions.
Where a client has an existing condition that could be affected by intensive shadow work, energy work, spiritual practice or exploration of unusual or unexplained experiences, they are strongly encouraged to seek advice from an appropriately qualified healthcare professional before participating.
The Forge does not assess a client’s medical or psychiatric fitness to participate in its services. Disclosure of a medical or mental health condition does not automatically prevent participation; however, the practitioner may decline, pause or discontinue work where the service appears to fall outside the practitioner’s scope of practice or where additional professional support may be appropriate.
Clients remain responsible for following medical advice provided by their healthcare professionals and should not discontinue or alter prescribed treatment, medication or other professional support on the basis of services provided through The Forge.
Crisis and Emergency Support
The Forge is not a crisis or emergency service and does not provide urgent medical, psychiatric or emergency intervention.
Clients experiencing an immediate risk of harm to themselves or others, a medical emergency, or another situation requiring urgent intervention should contact the appropriate emergency or crisis service. Details of relevant crisis and emergency support services are provided below.
Where concerns arise during the course of work that require support beyond the scope of The Forge, the practitioner may recommend or signpost the client to an appropriately qualified professional or specialist service.
Age and Eligibility
Services offered through The Forge are available only to adults aged 18 or over.
By booking or participating in a service, clients confirm that they are at least 18 years of age and that the information they provide in relation to their eligibility for the service is accurate.
The Forge reserves the right to decline or discontinue a service where the practitioner’s assessment is that the service is not appropriate for the client’s needs or falls outside the practitioner’s scope of practice.
Informed Participation and Nature of the Work
Some services offered through The Forge involve intensive personal reflection, shadow work, spiritual practice or exploration of difficult experiences and may at times be emotionally challenging or spiritually intense.
Clients are encouraged to participate at a level appropriate to their own circumstances and remain free to decline any exercise, practice, discussion or suggested course of action. Clients may pause or discontinue their participation at any time.
Participation may bring unexpected thoughts, emotions, memories, perspectives or spiritual experiences to the surface. The Forge cannot predict how an individual client will experience the work and does not guarantee that the process will be comfortable or free from challenge.
Where a client becomes concerned about the effect of the work on their physical or mental health, they should pause their participation and seek appropriate professional advice before continuing.
